After decades of unofficially helping friends and family with financial questions, Michael made the advisory business his career, and began helping clients formally.  Seventeen years of investment modeling, cash flow management, and strategic planning in corporate America gave Michael important financial knowledge, but it couldn’t compare with the personal connection he enjoys with his clients today.

 

Michael gains immense satisfaction from helping those with situations that might be outside their knowledge base or comfort zone.  Helping clients sift through the complexity of their financial life in order to guide them towards their goals is supremely satisfying work.  Most importantly, advising clients allows Michael to build strong, trust based relationships where he can make a difference and have a positive lifelong impact.

 

On the personal front, Michael is making a bid for the “most interesting man at Summit!” He loves the outdoors and takes every opportunity to wakeboard, camp, ski or just hang at the beach. He rocks the guitar while performing in several local bands. He served our country as a member of the US Marine Corps and was a champion long range marksman.  Each summer his family goes to Ensenada Mexico to help build a house for a family in need. He is also passionate about photography, much to the chagrin of his wife and two children as they are routinely roped into impromptu modeling gigs! Pleasanton is home for the Schomaker family and they love being part of the East Bay community.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
