Joining the Summit family shortly after the firm’s inception, Cody spent his early years creating the financial plans for Summit’s clients. The technical knowledge gained by working on hundreds of client plans, is quite useful in his work today. Cody’s gift for strategic design and creative thinking led him to join forces with Nathan Bennett in a practice helping business owners and successful professionals pursue financial independence.
Cody embraces his inner “geek” spearheading Summit’s investment committee. He’s passionate in his quest to fully understand the investments held by clients and recommended by the firm. His analytical skills also make him naturally adept when working on exit and succession planning for clients.
Away from the office, Cody is never bored; spending his brief moments of free time staying active by playing soccer, fly fishing, and dreaming of fresh powder returning to the Sierra’s (he can only hope!). He and his wife, Erica, feel blessed to call San Francisco home.
Cody was a starting outfielder on the two consecutive NCAA Division II College World Series teams with the Chico State Wildcats, and relives his glory days on the diamond coaching the annual STRETCH Baseball Youth Camp. In addition, both Cody and Erica find immense joy in helping make the world a healthier place. Some of their favorite charities include Project Open Hand and The Kidney Foundation – both advocates for wellness and fighting nutrition related diseases.
