Summit’s Laura O’Brien and Michael Lahl had the opportunity to be mentors at this year’s Junior Achievement Social Innovation Camp again. Since 2012, This Northern California initiative of Junior Achievement works closely with local corporate and community partners to bring the Social Innovation Camp experience to Central Coast students. High School student teams are challenged to turn their ideas or social innovations into a practical business plan and marketing presentation. Teams work with a volunteer mentor to solicit guidance, feedback, encouragement and perfect the PowerPoint presentation they deliver to the panel of judges.
Last year Michael and Laura’s teams placed very high and this year they took home 4th place in the competition! Congrats on helping young people own their economic success!
